Extreme Teaching

Million Dollar Extreme is a sketch comedy troupe that had a show, World Peace, on Adult Swim for, I think, two minutes. As with what now seems to be the rule, not the exception, someone somewhere took offense with member Sam Hyde’s non-show-related humor, and the program was axed. Lesson learned: edgy humor is encouraged only when offending the predictable targets. However, this is why we have YouTube. Anyway, this skit captures the plight of teachers, students, education better–and in a much more amusing manner–than any “hard-hitting” but mawkish expose piece one may read in The New York Times or The Atlantic.

Knowledge with good intent. They assure the happy issue of ever undertaking. Good endowment joined with bad purpose has always yielded a monster. Evil intent is the venom in every capacity and, supported by knowledge, a poison more subtitle ; an unholy sovereignty, that which devotes itself to destruction ! Science without conscience, compounded madness !
