Oliver’s Army

When I have not been listening to Chopin, I have been digging on some Elvis Costello. This song has been set to repeat.

Favorite interpretation: Puritan leader Oliver Cromwell was, indeed, a bastard.

Favorite thing to take from this video: Mr. Costello, though married (and faithful–as I have not read otherwise) when he broke on the scene, probably could have had his pick of women despite his fugly looks. Granted, while fame and riches are quite an aphrodisiac, talent and bravado are more so (and are more within the reach of the average schmuck, for surely there is at least one talent every guy can cultivate. [?]).
